My writing “career” effectively started with my markets newsletter in 1998, and continued with report writing for a single stockbroker client between 2000 and around 2006. In both, I included a significant amount of environmental and general moral commentary. In around 2006, I read “The Bottomless Well,” by Huber and Mills, which prompted me to write a refutation of their principal positions.
Out of this, the core of my book Deforestation: Why YOU Need to Stop it NOW was born. Between 2006 and the end of 2010, I wrote the initial draft of the book which was finalised during 2011, with the prototype print copy coming off the press on 11/11/11.
My approach is as a deeply insightful generalist, with the intention of “connecting dots” hitherto remaining apparently unconnected between disciplines such as physics (thermodynamics and energy), economics, history, philosophy and spirituality.
This, in order to demolish certain orthodoxies, currently holding the world in an inexorable path to disaster, in disciplines such as economics, climate change, and religion – broadly all philosophies and worldviews subsumed under the general heading of “the Enlightenment”.
